Delays in joint-venture Bombardier-Rostec
Bombardier said on Friday that possibles sanctions by Canada and western countries against Russia probably will delay its join -venture deal with Rostec, the Russian state-owned industrial and defence conglomerate.
The Canadian plane and train maker Bombardier admitted that "We are in discussions, however at slower pace. This is as a result of the current situation. Probably, will be a delay in definitive agreement” and “we cannot speculate on what will happen”
Last August, both companies had reached preliminary deal consisting on sales aircraft Q400 about $3.4 billion and a joint-venture assembly line in Russia.
This a clear example of how governmental decisions and uncontrollable circumstances can affect negatively firms.
